      • Hello John, I have just found your reply. We are tracing our cousins in the U S A Chief Thomas Kirwan was my fathers first cousin. Chief Thomas Kirwans father emigrated from Kilbranish Co Carlow ( near Bunclody )

      • John It seems we are related!!! Thomas J Kirwan lived at27 Touro Ave Medford. Mass . We have his Record of Service of Residents who served in the war with Germany 1917-1918 in the US Naval Service He was age 22 yrs in 1919 We would love to know more about your family in thecUS our email is sheila@ clonegalaccommodation.com We have a son John and a grandson Jack!!       • It’s been a long time. Jack Kirwan served in the US Navy from 1945-1947. He became a Medford police officer in 1951 and became chief in 1971. He retired in 1985 and passed away in 1997. He had 4 Children. His oldest is his daughter Colleen who went on to become an executive at Mass Gen Hospital and his three sons Micheal, Dennis and John. Dennis is an attorney, Micheal is in NH and John was a city counselor in Ashland Ma.

        He has 7 grandchildren ages 20-36. They are ranging from students to professional athletes to other various sales and service roles.

        He left a great legacy.

        His wife, Margaret, passed away in 2003
