Give me a day or two and I’ll have a couple of interior shots of the Bridgeville Diner. I think you(Keith) must have told me to get out of my car and take a rare interior shot of this diner, because I only took interior shots of 2 or 3 diners on my trip through MD and DE.

Larry, Thanks for the compliment on our restoration. I noticed Chubby’s diner is a smaller O’Mahony similar to Collin’s in New Canaan Ct. I can’t find any interior pictures or a website for the Bridgeville diner. Do any of your readers have photos of these they can post or send me? Keith Walker …keith@highdefinitions.com

I knew my faithful readers would come up with other pre-war O’Mahonys. In fact Spencer, I was certainly thinking of the Bridgeville as being one of them. I have only seen that one in other people’s photos though.

There is also the Bridgeville diner in Delaware, which looks very similar.

The new location of the Road Island diner looks great! It looks like somewhere that it would have been set up originally; nothing fake, nothing cheesy. Beautiful restoration job.

You know Glenn, I did not think of that one even though it is the closest to where I live (it is also closed). But you are completely right, it is not that original inside and out as it was changed slightly by Musi.

You could have also mentioned Chubby’s Diner on the Massachusetts north shore which is another streamlined O’Mahony of similar vintage. But, as far as “original”… we know that this one was renovated by Ralph Musi.
